For what it’s worth, the Founding Fathers never envisioned a Senate in which you would need a super majority to proceed.
The constitution defines a few instances in which a 2/3 vote is needed, such as ratifying a treaty. Otherwise a majority vote is all that is needed.
In fact, the constitution indicates that the Vice-President will be the tie breaking vote in case of a tie. This constitutional provision indicates that the Founding Fathers envisioned that there would be tie votes sometimes.
You figure if the Founding Fathers envisioned a situation in which everything needed a 60% vote, then by definition you would never see a tie vote on anything.

The Federal Courts are now packed with far left wing zealots making rediculous law from the bench.
The ONLY way to change that is to change the vote for USSC seats to 51 to be able to put Constitutionalists on the Court to reign in the out of control Federal Judges.

She has not been involved in a single significant or useful piece of legislation benefiting the people of NY in her entire tenure. All she did was ramrod through a bill mandating the indiscriminate killing of every Canada goose in or around NYC, even in federal wildlife preserves. I would not take anything she says seriously, as she has proved herself beyond a shadow of doubt to be a useless occupier of space in Congress.
Gillibrand keeps sending me fund raising emails disguised as questionnaires. I have been answering them and keep getting more, I know she isn’t reading them, maybe nobody is.
I still refute all their liberal logic and positions. I always praise Trump, attack planned parenthood, attack liberal immigration/refugee policies.
As her constituent, I tell her I will not only vote against her, but also will fund her opponent giving her NOTHING!
