The United States should expect a "strong slap in the face" if it underestimates Iran's defensive capabilities, a commander of the elite Revolutionary Guards said on Wednesday, as Tehran concluded war games.
Since taking office last month, U.S. President Donald Trump has pledged to get tough with Iran, warning the Islamic Republic after its ballistic missile test on Jan. 29 that it was playing with fire and all U.S. options were on the table.
"The enemy should not be mistaken in its assessments, and it will receive a strong slap in the face if it does make such a mistake," said General Mohammad Pakpour, head of the Guards ground forces, quoted by the Guards' website Sepahnews...

Sorry folks, but this IS the post of the day! Sayz literally nothing, yet sayz it all. Good post. lol
Oops, guessing it was an html thang. lol
(Snort) post 2.
I strongly suggest then, that you round up a half dozen of your little outboard speedboats, and buzz one of our ships off your coast in International waters. We’ll see what the response will be.
When you think about this, I am still dumbfounded on how our sailors were captured in the first place. The whole thing, and its timing were bazaar.
Iran threatening the U.S. is the equivalent of sheep threatening lions.
Iran and NK are both based on 1984 type campaigns. Both tell their people that a US invasion is imminent. Eventually, people become deaf to it.
We have Iranian students on campus and they don’t seem to care that the US is their country’s sworn enemy. They are too busy having fun.
LOL! Just as long as they know that the slap in the face may cost their heads to be taken off!
Most Americans should care about what happens in Iran, the world's biggest state sponsor of terrorism who have killed hundreds of Americans ranging from the Marine Barracks in Beirut to the Khobar tower bombing. The Iranians have been sending money and arms to Hezbollah and Hamas. They are constructing a nuclear arsenal and the means to deliver it in the form of ballistic missiles.
The Iranians pose an existential threat to the region including our allies Israel, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Bahrain. I can state unequivocally that they care very much about what Iran says and does. Their survival is at stake.
It'll be more like this (us on the left):
;-)
You know what. Its up to those nations in the region to deal with the crazy mullahs. Obama and Bush did nothing to deal with Iran’s overt acts of terrorism against America such as the manufacture and distribution of IEDs to the jihadists in Iraq. If there are overt acts against Americans traceable to Iran, doubt Trump will be passive. The Iranians know it. However our “allies” in the region need to deal with Iran on their own. You simply don’t understand the need the Iranians have to be noticed and engaged.
Careful there, commander.
That ‘slap’ might get more than a ‘slap’ in return.
OOPS wrong one
I also was in Saudi Arabia during the entire Gulf War from start to finish. There is no way our allies in the region can deal with Iran alone. They need our support and we have global strategic interests at stake. The Gulf region is the world's largest supplier of exportable oil, which fuels the global economy.
Militant Islamic fundamentalism began in Iran in 1979. It is spreading like a cancer around the world. The only way it can be stopped entirely is regime change in Iran. There is no negotiating with the mullahs and their Supreme Leader. Obama's deal with Iran supported by signatories like Russia, China, and the UK ensures that Iran will get nuclear weapons.
So go ahead...slap our face. And then lose your ass. Make my day.
One of the most shameful episodes in American history. Obama and naval commanders just surrendered. Seamen were left crying and whimpering. A disgrace to all servicemen.
As a Navy vet, I agree completely. I was very disappointed with the conduct of our sailors. A disgrace to the uniform.
Iran gets a 12 gauge slug in the gut.
