PVV leader Geert Wilders on Sunday pulled out of a second televised election debate, describing one of the organising broadcasters as ‘unbelievable lowlife scum’.
The debate, which will take place in the Carre theatre on March 5, was to have featured the eight biggest parties in the opinion polls. The debate, which will still go ahead without Wilders, is organised by RTL Nieuws, BNR radio and current affairs magazine Elsevier.
Wilders said via Twitter that he would not take part in the debate. ‘Bye Bye RTL,’ Wilders said, before going on to restate he would be at two other debates on March 13 and 14.
Last week, Wilders pulled out of another RTL debate featuring the main prime ministerial candidates because five not four parties had been invited to take part. Prime minister Mark Rutte also withdraw from that debate.
Wilders did not say why he had pulled out of the second debate but had earlier sent out an angry tweet denouncing RTL’s interview with his older brother Paul. ‘What unbelievably lowlife scum RTL is to bring my family into the campaign,’ Wilders said. ‘Disgusting.’

I don’t think the debates would help him or hurt him. People are going to vote for him or not, and the left will cheat just as they do here.
I wonder if he is following the path that Trump blazed against the MSM. Wilders is very popular now. If it is the case that he does not actually need additional publicity through debates, then RTL may have shot themselves in the foot by offending him,resulting in him pulling out of the debate, and thereby harming their own viewer ratings for the debate, and thus harming their advertising revenue.

RTL is even more left-leaning then the public broadcaster and they spewed so much hate over Trump and Wilders it’s like CNN/NBC but then in Dutch.
I hope Wilders wins, too. He’s been jumping up and down shouting for years that islam is horrid. All he’s gotten in return is abuse. Maybe they’re listening now.
With the rise of Wilders and Le Pen, we do have to wonder if the stars are finally aligned for the Trump Effect. It’s not hyperbole to say that this is civilization’s last chance. I think a lot of people understand that intuitively. People who don’t normal involve themselves in politics.
Trump is a leader.
A leader sets trends for others rather than following them.
A leader has courage despite an army of critics and enemies.
Others political figures will follow Trump’s lead—and the elite media gatekeepers around the world will be defeated.
Most people have never seen a true leader in action—we can watch as history is made.
Good for him. Not being pushed around by media jerks who are against him.
Not dictated to by leftist elites.
Refreshing, like Trump
