H-1b workers are by definition premium employees, ones that are soooo skilled that no American can be found to fill that position.

As such, employers should be willing, nay, eager to pay a premium salary for these critical skills.

Make it a legal requirement that these guest workers who bring crucial skills to America be fairly paid, say at least a 25% premium over the prevailing wage a less skilled American would receive for doing the same job.

It's only fair!

And...make them train their US American Citizen replacements over a 1 year period.

After which their Visa ends....and the American Citizen takes over the job.

It's only fair.

Your idea is good but there are no criminal penalties for cheating. That is why the only solution is to kill the H-1B visa program.
