I’m morally opposed to gay marriage and also morally opposed to The State - in the USA, France, or elsewhere - dictating the legal terms of interpersonal relationship contracts. Those terms should be written by the two people in a relationship and be legally binding only upon them.

Marine Le Pen has said she will abandon gay marriages in favour of civil partnerships.
Will be interesting to see if that helps or hurts her in the polls in France.

I used to be opposed to gay marriage on the basis that it is not the best state sponsored contract for children. Now I honestly can't muster 2 turds for the subject.
At this point in my life, I just want to be left the hell alone, protected from random explosions, treated equally under the law and taxed less.
