I agree and I believe you are responding to the wrong person on accident.
If you look everywhere where a sheriff or police chief can stop a person from getting a permit or even require somebody to have a permit that is not shall issue, you will see the political will of the people there is in line with the power structure. No guy pushing paper and a patrol car can change a law and to compare like another poster did the officers and deputies who work in those areas to Nazi prison camp guards or to wish violence upon them 4 things that are completely out of their control is insane and a horrible thing to do.

Maybe I didn’t explain well. Law enforcement leadership should come out in support of our rights and the safety of their communities, since they know in venues where CCW laws were relaxed or altogether done away with crime went down.
And as far as the “will of the people” thing goes, look up CA prop 187.
Asking an individual why a group of people “never do xyz” is silly.
Cops are super majority pro liberty. They join the NRA and the Second Ammendment Foundation just like others....probably at higher rates.
Again...my reply was to a person who said they wanted cops to get injured because they were unhappy with what politicians were reaponsible for.
In case you have not figured out yet...I am a cop. I do not deserve to be unjured or killed because a populous has not risen up and stood for their own rights, elected or ran for and been elected, politicians who pass laws respecting their rights.
If you believe I, or any citizen, deserves to be injured and/or killed because of some stupid politician or lazy voters won’t demand their freedoms be respected then I have no desire to discuss this with you anymore.

I simply told you people are PO'd. One look no further than this historic election. And much of that was fueled by boiling anger government and those running it, for damn good reason.
We had the election bring back our freedoms and sanity. And finally a police chief had the guts and come out publicly last night and went against what you called, "The will of the people" and the insane in CA government who literally caused Officer Boyer's murder by creating these reckless, unsafe policies, early releases etc.
Btw, the “populace” as you put it has been lied to, conned, looted, brainwashed and defrauded by those in government as a matter of routine. So I find it no surprise we have arrived at where we’re at. And this is exactly what ushered in Trump.

I agree, I was merely pointing out her abject Hypocrisy, similarly the Death Camp Guards never spoke out either, they just followed orders. I understand the average patrol officer does not make policy, neither did the death camp guards though. But like the NAZI GUARDS they are “Just Following Orders” and until the the Rank and File Police Officers STAND UP and PUBLICLY ANNOUNCE that They will NO LONGER ENFORCE THESE LAWS against Average Law Abiding Citizens who simply have a Wish to enjoy LIFE, LIBERTY, AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS, they DESERVE THE TARGET ON THEIR BACKS!

I find it amazing still on how much of the Population can not look at themselves in their own mirror and be Honest to themselves. ESPECIALLY THE POLICE!
