It’s a retention pond, not a dam. A friend lives in the targeted area. Right now, all is okay meaning it’s overflowing but not breaking. Sheriff’s Dept on scene thinks all will be okay.

We’ve just had so much water in the past six weeks the ground can’t absorb anymore. My road out front is a river right now, standing water in the barn yard and back pasture.

Stay dry!

We had a baby flood at low intersection because the storm drains were clogged, and that’s about it. The overflow trenches built after the last time the Truckee Meadows flooded seem to be doing their job.

I’m sorry to hear about the flooding. Hopefully it will pass soon.

Had to go into Carson City this morning. I hit rain then snow then rain again all in one hour. Been a steady rain all the rest of the day. Luckily, we live in a fairly high area so our only problem is if we travel.

Good to hear the Dayton retention pond is not breaking. I'm ready for Spring....
