Between this latest dam warning and the issues with the Orville and Anderson Reservoirs in California, my wife and I are looking at this as a sign to get the heck out of California and head to Texas (our daughter did that last year).

Not sure about dealing with the weather in Texas, but too much in this state degrades everyday life. Overtaxed resources, aging water storage system, poor roads, high taxes (even for retirees with pensions, 401(k)/IRAs, etc.), high cost of living, a voting base willing to pass any tax increase/bond measure, DEM super-majorities, etc.

Been there, done that. Houston, Texas has hurricanes, yearly floods, tornados, high temps and high humidity in summer, freezes in winter, mosquitoes, and fire ants. You cannot beat Cal weather.

Remember, Texas has four seasons. Ice Storms, Tornadoes, Drought, and Hurricane. Sometimes you can get two or three of those in the same week.
