LIVE STREAM: Milo Yiannapoulos Holds a Press Conference. In a statement published minutes ago, Yiannopoulos said, “Breitbart News has stood by me when others caved,” continuing, “I would be wrong to allow my poor choice of words to detract from my colleagues’ important reporting, so today I am resigning from Breitbart, effective immediately.” After Yiannopoulos was slated to speak at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), a video of him discussing pedophilia made the rounds on Twitter and earned pretty widespread condemnation.
Yiannopoulos responded to the outcry insisting that he has an “utter disgust [for] adults who sexually abuse minors” while acknowledging that “these videos, even though some of them are edited deceptively, paint a different picture.”
Hours after CPAC uninvited him on Monday, Simon & Schuster cancelled the publication of Yiannopoulos’s highly-anticipated book Dangerous; Matt Schlapp, the chair of the American Conservative Union, said Tuesday morning, “Over the weekend I was made aware of these comments and it just broke through very important boundaries and we felt like the CPAC stage was not an appropriate place for this any longer.”
I think we treat him like we would anyone else.

I like Milo who stands up for free speech.
Until evidence is provided, I do not see Milo advocating for pedophilia, but I know he has outed pedophiles through his reporting.
If someone has unedited footage of Milo the Pedophile, out with it already.

I don’t think you read his posts in the spirit that he posts them. I don’t have to defend him though. He does a darn good job of it himself. We’re friends. :)

Except a 17 year old boy is not a child. Did you miss the part where he thinks the age of consent (16) is “about right” and the fact that he thinks pedophilia is abhorrent? He’s obviously not into children, yet you implied he’s in favor of “adult-child sexual abuse.”

Apparently, Breitbart is going mainstream now. That’s probably the real reason Milo was forced out. I wonder how Andrew would feel knowing his enterprise was intentionally giving up it’s position on offense.
Milo made his statement. At this time, I am willing to accept what he says at face value.

Thank you Chris37 for your compassion. I left the same way watching him today. He was being honest in explaining that his words were careless. He apologized for them in a very heartfelt way.
Yet, like the thief on the cross, anyone can be saved in a moment of time and there is NOTHING the rest of us can do about it. Except shut up.
