I think it's a combination of having a higher IQ and experience. Don't forget he learned military strategy at West Pointe and I bet he's read the Art of War many times over. Military strategy can readily applied in the business and political realm with great effect. I think he anticipates the jab and counter jab by utilizing the assets that he's set in place around him. He's a smart businessman and the lefties would do well to let him do his job on our economy so they can get a job and move out of Mom's basement.

Perhaps Trump is getting really thorough briefings based on very accurate boots on the ground reporting from US Consulates and Embassies.
Posit: President Trump is really in touch with everything around the world. His latest mini faux pas Tweet: “What happened in Sweden last night,” was likely a slip up on briefing he had received on Sweden, everybody assumed he was talking about Tucker Carlson’s show on Fox News. Maybe not.
