Democrats are searching for a plan to bridge the deep political gulf between the white, working-class voters who supported Donald Trump and the urban, professional, LGBT voters and people of color who supported Hillary Clinton. The major parties are becoming foreign countries to each other — with their own media, values and vocabularies. The solution: Focus on the yawning educational divide that underlies the political one.

College graduates backed Clinton by a nine-point margin. Voters without a college degree backed Trump. Clinton won more votes among college-educated whites than Barack Obama did in 2012, but Trump won a whopping 67 percent of whites without a college degree.


So we voted for Trump because we are stupid? Thanks for explaining that. Now go back to your socially isolated college campus and do what you do but keep out of the way of us working Americans.

Actually the first takeaway should be that something really needs to be done about the levels of indoctrination going on in these so-called institutions of higher learning.

It is education, and the Ctrl-Left needs to be taught a lesson on the Constitution:

Article the first ... Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

"No law" means what it says. Trampling freedom of religion over hurt feelings among gay/lesbian/confused snowflakes is an act of pure evil, and it's unconstitutional. So long as the Ctrl-Left favors that oppression, they are the enemies of all that is good in America.

Article the second ... A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Again, "shall not be infringed" is unambiguous. This is the strongest wording anywhere in the Constitution, much stronger than a mere "Congress shall make no law". The authoritarian Ctrl-Left needs to keep their hands off our guns completely. No exceptions.

Article the tenth... Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

The fines for EPA and gay rights violations are shockingly excessive. This is again both evil and unconstitutional. The Ctrl-Left needs to moderate their urge to control every aspect of our lives. We are adults (even their followers could be adults if they didn't have the nanny state keeping them from growing up), and we insist on being treated as adults.

Article the ninth ... The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.
Article the tenth ... The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

These are real amendments, part of the Constitution, and they need to be followed. FedGov has to be shrunk back to its enumerated powers - nothing more. Do that and recognize that the Constitution has no penumbra, no direct or implied position on abortion, and the two sides can coexist. Otherwise, this will inevitably get ugly.

Actually, the solution is for Democrats to accept the truth that abortion kills a person and that homosexuality is not normal.

I’m feeling a bit Pauline at the moment (Phil. 3:4-9, to be exact)...

I have a doctorate and two master’s degrees. I have been teaching at the college level for 30 years, primarily in the humanities and philosophy; I have also designed and taught business courses, and co-authored a humanities text. I was one of the first to design and teach online courses; even before the rise of the WWW, I worked with BBS software, and also wrote some C+ programs that students could use to practice what they knew.

But I would throw away all of my credentials, and cut myself off from all academia, in order to stand with fools and deplorables, because it is there, and only there, that one stands with the Americans who understand and live out the American creed, that all men are created equal—not just white men, not just minority men, not just credentialed men, not just men who work with their hands, and not just males, but EVERYONE IS CREATED EQUAL, and endowed by GOD with the rights to LIFE, LIBERTY, and the pursuit of what used to be called “happiness,” but what today we would call a complete life that was worth being lived.

NO ONE IN THE DEMOCRAT PARTY BELIEVES THIS. Professing to be wise, they have become fools. Let them revel in their credentials: truth is with us, and the truth will set us free. In hoc signo vinces!

The education part is quite correct. People are graduating from colleges with learning nothing more than to espouse socialism and how to pick up a turd by the clean end. Our university are packed with maniacal professors who have no idea how to make their way in the real world in the profession they teach. Now our elementary schools are experiencing an onslaught of unstable teachers.
