According to an article from Investors Business Daily, Nestle is leaving the state of California and moving to Virginia to get away from the liberal state. Nestles headquarters is moving from Glendale, California which is near Los Angeles to Rosslyn, Virginia which is near Washington D.C.
Sticking to its ignorant true-self, an official from Glendale, California said that Nestles departure was no big deal, and was actually an opportunity for them as the company moves thousands of jobs away from the area.

Good. Sounds like they are moving back to the USA now that Trump is in power.
Why Virginia? Kinda close to DC ain’t it?
Sounds like all of California’s taxpayer base is seceding from them lately.
Nestle’s makes the very best Pro-fits!
U.S.A.? not northern Virginia. daughter lives there(Fairfax) and it is wack job lib for the most part.
What about the licenses to pump and bottle water?
Any change in the operating status?
I think Investors Business Daily’s writter is sufferuing from PESD. Post Election Stress Disorder.
I guess the good folks of the Glendale City Council were hoping that all those workers currently commuting from elsewhere could live right near where they work.
But on second thought, maybe they'll all make great Section 8 housing for the underclass.
It'll be great for the nearby Galleria and American Malls. What with idle youths wandering about with nothing to do but engage in a bit of crime.
Why Virginia?
Unless they want to be near the political center so they can gain some influence.
Economically and taxwise there are better choices.
Virginia has become more of a Nanny State in spite of the good people living away from NOVA.
Washington DC dominates Virginia the way NY City dominates New York State. Chicago - Illinois, etc.
‘No big deal’ says the protected gubermint official with a peachy Ca taxpayer funded pension. As if those employees who lose those jobs don’t matter.
Another Trojan Horse.
where was the word unexpectedly?
Have 3 more years to work here in Calif, nice place been here 30 years but so looking forward to getting out. It is amazing that the pols are so tone deaf to the need to let a business run its business and if it is successful keep a little bit of its money. Cities to Sacramento, it never ever will stop.
Yeah, but “those are OUR buildings now”!!
Northern Va is overflowing with idiot liberals. Guess they didn’t want complete culture shock over leaving CA.
Being in NOVA also lets them have constant contact with the congress critters and lobbyists.
You're right, NOVA is where all the lefty tax refugees from MD, Del and D.C.move to. We don't need any more d*mned left wing voters here in VA. Go to Oregon or Colorado they're already messed up.
This probably means that their industry is so bound up my regulations that is easier just to be located where the regulators are.
Toyota North America moved its North American corporate headquarters from Torrance, CA to Texas a couple of years ago. Those were good white collar jobs. Almost all manufacturing jobs left California years ago.
Perfect. Companies which are actually for USA, should not be in California; it is conquered territory.
