State officials across the nation are fighting former President Barack Obama’s last-minute decision to impose federal authority over state-run election systems, The Daily Caller News Foundation has learned.
The National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS), which includes officials from all 50 states and U.S. territories, appealed to President Donald Trump in a resolution approved Saturday at the group’s winter meeting to overturn the Obama policy, but doing so may encounter unexpected resistance from the new administration.

Almost every day there is a story about various people who seem to have rediscovered their manhood.
Now they are speaking out against Obama and his dictatorship.
But they were spineless slugs when he held the reins of power.

This one really has me torn: if there’s ever going to be true fraud-proof elections, then a nationalized system would have to be devised to make it happen.
Anything that allows voters to cast ballots in multiple states, for example, has to be rooted out. Beyond that, anything that doesn’t tie into a national database of registered, legal individuals also invites fraud... and we know their are many states that can’t be trusted with the task.
For state and local elections... you get what you get. But given what the Left tries to do for Congress and the White House, I don’t know that 50-ish ad hoc systems aren’t doing us all a disservice.
Return the power to the states after their elections systems have been cleaned of corruption and fraud and the perpetrators have been convicted and imprisoned.

Right on! Some States, like California, have been letting corrupt voting for years. Now that illegals have been allowed to register via California Driver Licenses we have many questions that have to be answered.
We bemoan the corruption in our government, voting and so on. I guess that we forget about the nations who have been corrupt since they ever existed.
We should collectively thank our stars for being born here. There simply AIN'T any place better on the planet that this 3.797 million mi² called the United States of America.
I do try to remember that, especially when I heard Shrillary saying the abortion SHOULD be funded by the government since it is a "health issue."

Abortion isn't a HEALTH issue, it's premeditated, cold-blooded murder by females, the assenting fathers, doctors, nurses, hospitals and EVERY SINGLE human involved in it in ANY way, shape or form.

States rights taken away would have been just the beginning of Shrillary's quest to put us ALL in metaphorical diapers and playpens...with a huge tax increase to fund those who won't work, who pop out babies for increased welfare, who immigrate illegally here, etc.

You assume that illegals WANT to vote. I don't THINK that they give a rat's a** about voting. They want MONEY from us, nothing else.
Also, if those illegals do drive they better make sure that they don't get into an accident because the INSURANCE COMPANIES do not give a rat's about where someone is from. THEY will go after the illegal with a vengeance because that is what INSURANCE COMPANIES do.

The states don’t need Federal oversight—especially anything set up by Obama.
The voting rolls need to be cleaned up-—and BEFORE any elections in 2018. The fraud has gone on long enough.
