Pence was excellent. Both carrot and stick.

Disappointed Trump is backtracking on his statement that NATO is outdated - which it is.

It seems to be another large, outdated bureaucracy, supporting the massive, leftist social engineering of Europe.

It started with the Clintons using NATO to establish the Saudi-sponsored gangster-jihadi state of Kosovo on Europe’s southern borders, and has become worse from there.

Just another example shooting down this notion of the U.S. going soft on Russia. This is exactly what we need. We need our NATO allies to beef up their spending, we need to be conducting more NATO exercises so that we can coordinate better with our partners. We also need to start back up the negotiations with Poland and other central European countries on placing missile defense there. Another possibility is to look at some of our existing bases in Europe and forward deploy elements from there to central European countries (Air Force and Army).

All of this will send the clear message to Russia that we are not playing games and they need to back off in the Ukraine, Crimea and Georgia. Then and only then can we start negotiating with them to try to resolve these different crises. Putin only understands power. That’s why he walked all over our last effeminate commander in chief.

This has been something US and Europe have been talking about for decades but nothing ever happened. Glad to see Europe stepping up.`

Let’s see if Europe’s idea of “fair burden” matches what the left considers “fair share” when demanding conservatives pay up to the IRS.

I wonder if some of this sentiment for NATO members paying more of their own way is in response to the EU’s sudden interest in an EU military... (hmm...)

So much for the rumors that Pence is at odds with the President....I heard him talk and he was the faithful emissary all the way.

Trump threatened to reduce US spending on NATO if the euros didn’t increase theirs. I hope the euros don’t increase theirs so we can cut our spending.
