Fox News anchor Chris Wallace cautioned his colleagues and the network's viewers Sunday that President Trump's latest attack on the media had gone too far.
"Look, we're big boys. We criticize presidents. They want to criticize us back, that's fine," Wallace said Sunday morning on "Fox & Friends." "But when he said that the fake news media is not my enemy, it's the enemy of the American people, I believe that crosses an important line."

We understand you have made your career in this media business and don’t have the vantage point of viewing it objectively. Most Americans have been able to view it objectively however, and we elected Donald Trump President, in part, because we could clearly set aside the media.
It was understood since the 30s that artists, writers, female impersonators and broadcasters were more generally leftists than we were. We accepted it as long as there was some semblance of honest reporting. In the last 20 years that modicum of balance was lost by your industry. It became so bad that it was laughable but also vile.
The attempt to keep it leftist and the leftist line as the normative line became so destructive that explaining it as Fake News was the only true analysis. It wasn’t Trump that started that — it was your viewers. Please acknowledge the obvious and make yourself relevant instead of telling us about the fashionable suit the Emperor is wearing.

Chrissy has become belligerent while interviewing Trump people. I can’t stand him anymore.
Pres. Trump was specifically referring to the MSM reports on the election and Russia.
And the MSM has extremely thin skin. They love to dish it out but can’t take it.
Trump, and anyone connected with him needs to boycott Chris Wallace. He’s as anti-Trump as Jake Tapper, Stephanopolis, Mascara Boy, Mika, or any of the other libs.
Right, and the cause and effect relationship is that the media quit bothering about truth and became agenda-driven, and as a result the public lost trust in what once was the independent Fourth Estate dedicated to ferreting out the truth and holding the powers that be accountable.
I don't know how that genie can put back in the bottle at this point. We have some fact-checking groups but even many of those are now becoming politicized.
They are sissy boys who like the bully people. Bullies always hate to meet up with one who will whip them or beat them at their own hate game.

I’ve been watching the coverage of this on the news and most people are unaware of the impact of the US media worldwide.
I am not the first to point this out but as I’ve said everyone living and dead from Chinese President Xi at the recent Davos globalist conference to Castro, to Chavez, to Bin Laden are concerned about US policies that contribute to global warming, homophobia, and racism.
Their local reporters are not reporting this. They are getting this from CNN.
We have recently seen Obama holdovers doing their best to take down Trump. This is what libertarians have been saying for years, that if we allow the government to wiretap they might selectively leak things on political opponents.
What really happened to Flynn? He told Pence he hadn’t talked about sanctions to Russia but the transcript did indicate that he told his Russian counterpart that SANCTIONS would be looked at, which by the way is NOT illegal.
How do I know that?
Because if you were going hunting for a deer would you take your air gun or your best hunting rifle? This was the best they could do. If they could lead something more damaging, they wouldn’t have risked their careers over something so minor. The mainstream media is going wild. Flynn lied, the press cried.
This is the same press by the way that didn’t find anything wrong when Rice was National Security Advisor, went out and blatantly lied about the death of 3 US citizens and the first murdered US Ambassador in over 3 decades. Obama lied, brave Americans died. And the press sighed “Oh well…”.

When the media claims that Trump threw out MLK’s bust, to aggravate an already combustible racist atmosphere in America, they casually said when caught, “that was a mistake.” No, it wasn’t a mistake, it was a lie that went around the world. Then another fake story of sick bed wetting, and that went around the world, but then admittedly...that was a mistake. No, that also was a lie that happened to be caught. And on and on for dozens of issues, every single day.. So you are wrong Mr. Wallace, this media is beyond the pale for deliberate lying, and horrible editing in a concerted pack-journalistic attempt to attack and diminish a sitting president... and they have admitted it. It is your colleagues who are far over the line, and a check and balance on their power that doesn’t exist, needs to exist. Trump is the only check so far. (Perhaps the Alt-media that caught the likes of a lying Dan Rather and thankfully threw him out of polite society.)
We now live in a tag team, mendacious orgy of pack journalists, where one imp quickly mimics the lies of another, and then the guilty originator issues a weak “it was mistake” while the original lie is blasted throughout the digital world. The Podesta emails have revealed a frightening collusion of major media figures secretly offering the resources of their massive publications, and their own personal efforts to advance the Democrat party and Hillary’s election - and you say no check nor balance is needed? They arrogantly make up lies about a chaotic White House and then claim “see, the White House is in chaos.” They forward debate questions to one candidate before the debate, and you say no check or balance is needed. They are arrogant liars. They are just like the young man who murdered both his parents but begs forgiveness from the court because he happens to be an orphan. Plain and unchecked chutzpah.
I am glad Trump is fighting back, it is about time someone put these arrogant liars in their place. Go directly to the people and do not let the message be narrated by the media because they lie. A check on their power needs to be instated in the US politic and Trump is doing it.
