It always comes down to this:

You can Trump literally or you can take Trump seriously.

If you take him literally, some of the stuff he says isn’t 100% right. The media always take him literally and then they portray him as a clown or some evil guy who is a slave to Putin or some such crap.

But if you take him seriously, he is on target 100%. The people take him seriously. That’s why we voted for him. Sweden has just about the worst record for rapes in the world. It’s almost exclusively Muslim “refugees” raping Scandinavian women. Trump knows that. We know that. It’s worth pointing out.

Trump likes to use ‘Trump Traps’.

He tells the truth with one obvious error or an exaggeration.

The press bites on the minor error and spreads it everywhere to people that would not normally listen to Trump.

Then there is a lot of discussion on the topic that would not have ordinarily occurred.

Then there is agreement that while Trump was in error on the minor point, he is correct on the main point.

.....

Such as with the reporter and the electoral college win.

Trump: I had the biggest electoral college win ever...

Reporter: No Obama had bigger wins in 2008 and 2012...

Trump: Okay, but we can agree that I had a ‘uge electoral college win.

Reporter: Yes.

...

Trump is framing the debate.

The media ends up arguing on a trivial issue or a fine point.

Media wins the small issue and loses the big point.

Trump wins on the major point.

And the media ends up looking like an ass (to ordinary people).

...

Simple media fix. Make the correction and not go hyper over minor irrelevant points.
