That is the crux of the problem.

Because the media is grounded in hard-left ideology, it's perception of reality has no place for common sense. Hence, it cannot comprehend Trump and his supporters.

And it is difficult if not impossible for the hard-left media to change their ability to perceive without changing their political orientation.

Given that thesis, the hard-left media will keep focusing on the few obscure and irrelevant details about Trump that do make sense to them and completely miss what is actually happening.

It isn't so much that the media is dishonest as it is that they honestly just don't see what is happening.

Hey Rooster - you are so correct. They are so mired in their liberal philosophy that they cannot see what the average John and Mary can see quite clearly. So to them, they are not being dishonest.

I like the quote from Ed Koch about the reporters really being politicians with press passes. Nothing exemplifies this better than the MSM hiring all the Obama and Clinton admin staffers for their news reporters. It’s OK if they are on for opinion pieces - but really - George Stephanopolis - really? Yup - a politician with a press pass.

“It isn’t so much that the media is dishonest as it is that they honestly just don’t see what is happening. “

I disagree. They are dishonest as people, but also dishonest in that this is part of their ideology. They truly believe they are TASS on the Potomac and they are representing the government of the people. Their dishonesty, like TASS and other Soviet and Chinese media is rooted in “Party good, not Party bad.” Trump = Not Party = Bad.

If anyone thinks this would be different if another Republican was President, they are mistaken. This is about the revolution. The media will lie, cheat and break the law in order to further the revolution. Only when we fight back will the media stop this. Trump neutralized them, but that isn’t enough.

We need a Fairness Doctrine that will pull the medias teeth. It needs to be short, simple, easy to understand and easily enforced. As an example, commentary isn’t news and should be treated as entertainment. Imagine what would happen if Meet the Press became an entertainment show because they don’t report the news, but offer opinions that may or may not be true. If they veer off from their format, they are liable and could very well lose their license. NBC would have kittens and their guests would think twice before appearing.
