I agree. I’m no prude, but he could have made the same points without the adult movie talk.
btt...
Now my native language is German, so I pronounce his name exactly as it is written
I assume his name comes from the German word "schlicht" which translates into "plain" in English.
Its possible that gradually phasing out access by "the hostile press haters is the optimum strategy, and what Trump plans. Worst offender first. Fox last - if in fact it does not read the tea leaves and shape up. But possibly it would not come to that.CNN would go first, followed in short order by MSNBC, CNBC.
Fox Business last of all.
To me, your saying what you think is perfectly fine.
While being above the fray is an ideal to aspire toward, I think that today’s society has been taught to equate politeness with weakness, at a group level. Individuals who are polite but exude strength and confidence are not held with such disdain, but any collective that exercises courtesy and restraint are taken as being defeated already.
Fighting back using bombast and biting humor, to me, is preferable to the next step - which is much more direct and probably will have to be violent. Biting humor is one of the more benign outlets for tremendous anger.
On Fox News Sunday yesterday, Chris Wallace spent all of his time with Reince Prebius naval gazing and talking about Russia. No one except the press cares if President Trump is treating them fairly. The Russia contacts / Flynn question has been answered many times in unnecessary detail. I cannot stand to watch Wallace or Shepherd Smith anymore because of their “tone.” When President Trump call the media on their “tone” they might do well to get someone from the outside to give them some perspective on how to be less hateful in their opposition to President Trump’s ideas.
I really like this writer, but it seems he too needs to misstate the case in order to construct a false narrative that positively supports his position.
However, a number of fearless freepers can easily deconstruct what is actually occurring, and thus render current events into a more logical presentation:
The press is a globalist strategic weapon that represents a critical asset for purposes of advancing their agenda. To say they "won't learn" is like claiming the Nazis wouldn't 'learn' using their V-weapons. That is, what's with this 'learning' business, as if it's an indictment of the choice of weapon(s) being utilized.
Rather, like a decent chess game, the real intrigue is to watch for subtle shifts in deployment and/or tactics. Clearly, the traditional brute force methods aren't working, but that isn't to suggest that there are other ways in which it still might be effective.
That being said, I personally believe the traditional controlled distribution model (printed press & FCC broadcast stations) is like a battleship in an era of subs, missiles and carriers. It was hard for the respective Navies of the world to let those expensive toys go, but once the shift was on, a whole new generation of future leaders emerged based on the new tools.
The analogy of course is the 'net, with guys like Breitbart, and now Trump, Milo, et al demonstrating the full range of its power to inform and influence popular thought.
But this 'won't learn' business? Please.
I hope you watched last week’s beatdown. It will be remembered as one of the best, ever!
i can and do... and occasionally i typo... and then some strichter grammarian blows a tiny misstep into a full blown mistake, and then is arrogant enough to pronounce the man’s name, not the way he does but because that’s the way they do it in the old country... well, we kicked that old countries ass and pulled them out of nazi hole they had dug themselves in, so if i want to type schlicter or shitzer or schlacker or blitzen, that’s my American prerogative...
have a nice day. your personal attack shows your lack of compassion.
I have a hunch that if he is married, you are perfectly equipped to change that status! LOL.
