The media will fail to destroy President Trump because he is not a typical Republican, conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh said Sunday.
"The media did not make Donald Trump, and they can't destroy him," Limbaugh told "Fox News Sunday."
Limbaugh claimed the media have a "blueprint for destroying" Republicans they disagree with, but they won't take Trump down.
"He doesn't fit that mold. They're trying to every day. It's kind of comical to watch," he said referring to the New York Times, Washington Post, ABC, CBS and NBC, among others.
In a tweet Friday, Trump referred to major news outlets as the "enemy of the American people."
Limbaugh said "there's something to" Trump's tweet.
"Trump has a connection with his voters that most politicians don't have ... and that connection that he has is not anything that anybody else can break. Only he can break it."
Trump's chief of staff Reince Priebus warned in an interview that aired Sunday that the president's comments should be taken seriously.
Priebus slammed the New York Times and Wall Street Journal for publishing stories on the Trump campaign's contact with Russian officials during the election and on the intel community refusing to give the president a full intelligence briefing.
"Both stories are grossly inaccurate, overstated, overblown, and it's total garbage," he said. "And the American people suffer. So I do think it's a problem. And I think that the media needs to, in some cases, not every case, but in some cases really needs to get its act together."

Yesterday proved why Trump needs to keep Tweeting and keep doing rallies. He needs to stay in perpetual campaign mode.

I found it extremely herd to listen to Wallace today...I see him as nothing more than another overpaid /globalist “Drino” ....no matter how many times he was told that the stories are false he simply re-worded the question and persisted...what a waste. That and his incessant Bu Bu Bu Bu Bu bu Bu ..Le Le Le lE le ,,,ma ma ma yammering is brutal then he’ll say he wasn’t trying tointerupt...overpaid hack like 95% of them...his father was no better...I see no real qualifications for him than a “who you know” situation.
Trump ompletely destroyed the comfy cozy world of the elite media and their elitist politicians and elite corporatists. Yhey cannot comprehend or begin to deal with the loss of their 20 plus year scam on the American people. Thank God in heaven for Donald Trump.
Actually, the media did make DT.
During the primary campaign, the enemedia thought they were doing a service to the left, by picking, in their view, the weakest of the 17 candidates to give 95% of the airtime and stories. DT was supposed to be, for the left, the flawed candidate Hillary's ticket to the White House.
If it were not for the media, perhaps DT would not have soared from the single digits where he was early in the campaign. We'd might have had tippy toes as the nominee, a much surer path to the WH for hillary than Trump ever was.
Recall the Coulter interview when all the leftists present laughed when she cited DT as the best positioned candidate to win the White House.
The MSM has sank to the level of tabloid journalism if not below them.

Who was the journalist that went to jail for hiding her source in the Fake News Valerie Plame investigation? We have journalists using illegally leaked intelligence information by the dozen. The ones who wrote those articles should be subpoenaed as part of an investigation. When they refuse to reveal their sources, which they will, believing themselves to be martyrs, throw them all in the pokey. And wait. One year, two years, three years. Who cares?

ABC, CBS, & NBC do NOT have a permanent monopoly on broadcast TV spectrum. You bought the TV, you own it, not them. Spectrum is physics property, nobody can lifetime own it. Just as you cannot own all rivers.
