I take my hat off for Flynn’s decision to step down to hopefully avoid visions of collusion, No matter what he would have done, the left media was, and will continue to be waiting for openings to pounce. They will do exactly what they have been doing for eons and create fake news stories for one purpose and one purpose only......to create false impressions. They do it all the time, why is everyone so surprised?

IMO the issue is Trump's acceptance of Flynn's resignation, to satisfy the leftist media. If you're correct and there's nothing else underlying this incident, the surprise would be that President Trump is so easily rolled by the left wing media. Not sure I accept that.

THAT is a distinct possibility. Whether it makes sense to sacrifice Flynn to the leftist media to sooth Pence remains to be seen.

Certainly one has to constantly reassess the ‘pundits’. They succumb to threats, blandishments, hubris etc on a regular basis. And, as you say, editors.

It appears that Flynn’s troubles were self-inflicted.If he did in fact not tell the truth to the vice president that’s a real issue.
