Ticket prices are plunging as this weekends NBA All-Star festivities kick off in New Orleans, six months after the league relocated the annual showcase event from its original site in Charlotte in protest of North Carolinas controversial transgender bathroom law.
As of Friday morning, the cheapest available seat for Sundays NBA All-Star Game at the Smoothie King Center cost $184, according to data compiled by TicketIQ, a resale market ticket aggregator. That number is a 71% decrease from last year in Toronto, when the cheapest ticket on the Friday before the game cost $644. The plunge may not be over -- the price of the cheapest seat in 2014, when New Orleans last hosted the All-Star Game, fell 39% between Friday and tip-off on Sunday.

You might have missed my internet sarcasm. Maybe.
I did!
Good point though.
It’s possible that this might be fallout. NBA players and coaches have made public anti-Trump statements, and the NBA has stuck its nose in the bathroom transgender issues in North Carolina and Texas. The anti-Trump statements insult a large percentage of the NBA fans, and the transgender stance insults a even larger percentage of the general population. But I don’t know if the financial bottom line is being affected over all yet.
It’s funny how making sports political, particularly in ways that offend rural men the most, often affects their bottom line. If the Ctrl-Left were capable of learning though, they wouldn’t be leftists. I expect that mistake to be repeated many more times.
And the Pepsi Indian CEO beyotch shot her anti-Trump mouth off recently as well
So my wife and I both did ourselves a favor and used that to delete our diet soft drink habits
Turnabout is fair play, big mouths
The nba has been a gimmick for ages. The lack of D, the 24 second clock, the long long periods/games. The officiating bias towards its few star attractions. The constant showing of the same teams over and over.
I can’t watch five minutes of it. Love the college game but the nba is not “basketball” It’s just a hustle of “fans” and has given false hope to millions of kids who should have been working and studying rather than screwing off on the playgrounds, thinking they would one day lead The Gamourous Life.
LOL!
I’ve gone to Diet Tonic Water + Lime + Ice + sometimes vodka. +++
I am not fully free of colas but I am much closer than I’ve ever been.
I think that’s Pepsi.
I think thats Pepsi.
Nope. Ahmet Muhtar Kent is a muslim.
And, as you can see with the link I am providing below, Coca Cola is a “platinum partner” donor for the Human Rights Campaign (or HRC). The HRC is by far the biggest lobbying group for the gay agenda.

Pepsi is a corporate partner with HRC too.
Coca Cola owns several different brands too that I try to avoid — DaSani Water, Sprite, MinuteMaid, Smart Water, PowerAde, Fanta, and several more.
Perhaps not - this is really the first season where they have all started doubling down on the over-the-top PC thing - ironic considering the election...perhaps they have a long-term political agenda and Trump threatens them too.
Professional athletes have become the biggest lot of whiners in the nation. It is hard enough to stomach them as they are and impossible to stand them playing politics.
But what if you’re really thirsty and you’re in a desert with nothing but a cooler full of ice cold Desani? What are you gonna do?
I know, drink it ;-)
Okay, maybe, I guess.
