Trump’s team (I’m on their emailing list) sent out an email survey regarding unfair MSM bias in their coverage of all things Trump. One of the questions in this online survey that I filled out was what sources do you use on-line for your conservative news (I’m paraphrasing the question here). This is what I responded:
“Free Republic conservative news forum on-line (Jim Robinson, a disabled Vet owns the site) is an excellent source for news articles from throughout the world, followed by Comments from those members that are signed up to be able to post their views.
Trump’s Admin staff would do well to have people reading those comments because they are a font full of ideas, critiques, new approaches on the problems confronting our nation, and valuable insight, the pulse on current conservative opinion that would greatly help in formulating strategies against attacks by the MSM, Dems, socialists, Muslim terrorist regime defenders, etc. If the Trump Admin wants to know what is really happening down on Main Street, as versus Wall Street and the elitists, Free Republic should be a main source for information and strategy approaches.

I hope the Trump team actually reads these responses to their survey in the boxes marked for further comment, rather than just totaling up the check marks in the boxes for each question.

I hope they come here. This is by far the best site for news with insightful commentary. Drudge may have the most news from around the world, but we have the best comments by far.
It’s pretty clear to me that from Rush and his producers through the rest of the right-leaning media cluster, FR has long been an invaluable resource. (Though few such media members own up to it openly.)
Not only were the likes of Mark Levin, Lucianne and Jonah Goldberg, and IIRC Ann Coulter acknowledged posters back in the day, but I am confident that Trump has been a long-time FReeper as well, though presumably primarily as a lurker. My guess is that that is a fair part of how he has managed to have his thumb on the pulse of the electorate so marvelously. Of course, he’s somewhat busy right now, but it wouldn’t surprise me if he were still checking in from time to time, as he fights not to become isolated in the WH bubble.
