Are Liberals Helping Trump?
The New York Times ^ | Feb. 18, 2017 | Sabrina Tavernise

Posted on 02/19/2017 3:27:43 AM PST by Trump20162020

Liberals may feel energized by a surge in political activism, and a unified stance against a president they see as irresponsible and even dangerous. But that momentum is provoking an equal and opposite reaction on the right. In recent interviews, conservative voters said they felt assaulted by what they said was a kind of moral Bolshevism — the belief that the liberal vision for the country was the only right one. Disagreeing meant being publicly shamed.

Protests and righteous indignation on social media and in Hollywood may seem to liberals to be about policy and persuasion. But moderate conservatives say they are having the opposite effect, chipping away at their middle ground and pushing them closer to Mr. Trump.

“The name calling from the left is crazy,” said Bryce Youngquist, 34, who works in sales for a tech start-up in Mountain View, Calif., a liberal enclave where admitting you voted for Mr. Trump is a little like saying in the 1950s that you were gay. “They are complaining that Trump calls people names, but they turned into some mean people.”

Yes, and that is why Nixon was taken out by other means.

The left has always been fascists. There isn’t a hairs difference between the left, the socialists, the Marxists, or the fascists. Different names don’t change what they are.

Exactly Onyx, the demrat party has been run by Muslim Marxists since 2008. And some freepers are still attacking republicans—they are not the enemy.

“It is not a good sign that the NYTs is printing this. It might mean the left is becoming better at seeing reality.”

If you check her work, she’s been saying similar things since before the election. She seems to be an honest liberal, and she’s been onto something for a while, but no one in her party is listening.

Sabrina Tavernise, just had to get that out in the first sentence. Sweetie, there is a reality show in progress, but one group of people is watching and another is watching while wearing faulty 3D glasses. Guess which one has the faulty glasses? Yep, the Libs. This president is the complete opposite of "irresponsible and even dangerous".

But if you close your eyes and cross your fingers and cross your toes really hard, you can click your heels 3 times and President Trump will go away.

The group that went full on Trump and elected him, white working class families, are completely turned off by the left’s BS. The rats have done nothing to address the reasons they completely lost this group.

BTW, I make sales calls on independent grocers who employ this group. Last week there was a surge of Trump reaffirmation as these workers realized they were free from the Obamacare tax penalty.

The left has lost the battle of ideas. Their programs enriched only the elites. They have no positive results to show. Black are poorer. Jobs were destroyed. The military was gutted. The national debt has been doubled in 8 years.

Calling names is all that remains. They convinced their leftist base that centrist policies are evil, so they can't swing back toward the middle. All they can do is take cheap shots.

Meanwhile, the GOP House and Senate are hiding in fear of actually having to lead our nation. I'll give the Democrats this: They were willing to lead and take chances. Obamacare is a prime example. They were leading us into hell, but at least they were leading. --Granted, the media gave them support and comfort and covered for them.

They exist.

Remember the county clerk in Kentucky (Davis) who refused to sign same sex marriage licenses? She was the end of a long line of democrats. She is now a republican.

“Conservatives have gotten vicious, too, sometimes with Mr. Trump’s encouragement.”

I guess this reporter wanted to keep his job, after writing this article.

And actually it’s a fair article overall...she could just as easily have made up stories about how Trump is turning off his staunchest supporters (falsely, of course)...but she did not.

More likely, this is a warning to her friends on the left that these tactics are simply not working, and are backfiring - but too late now, they uncorked this genie, and there’s no way to stuff him back in the bottle.

“They promote the fascist ideology: suppressing freedom, of thought, speech and action while scapegoating anyone who does not support their agenda.”

One leftist and free-for-all sites that I troll, I often will act like these Snowflakes and post what I know (and believe me, I do know) they say to each other. Man, do they get mad. I will talk about how the Berkeley riots PREVENTED fascism from taking hold, by preventing Milo from speaking - and how great that was! The Snowflakes actually do believe that...and it’s important that normal Americans understand just what this bunch does believe. When they push back at me as to “who gets to define fascism”, I hint at, but don’t say, it’s me, if it’s something that I (in my trolling) don’t like - then it’s fascism and needs to be silenced.

That’s my way of doing my little part.

“The Dems didn’t take a “left turn” - they were already solidly far left. They took a Fascist turn.”

Very well said!!! That sums it all up.;

“I have proof in my own family with my idealistic oldest daughter who now fears the loony left more than Trump and she loves Milo”

I’ve seen the same. Milo is REACHING these people better than any Republican outreach in our history...and it SCARES THE DAYLIGHTS out of the Left. He’s our best weapon and having him as the Keynote speaker for CPAC was BRILLIANT on our part.

If things hold up as they are (meaning Trump keeps his base secured and then starts pulling in from the left), the Dems are looking at GENERATIONS of being out of power. I think that part of what they realize. They know that it will be MUCH HARDER to demonize Trump and other Republicans, after Trump has power, thank before Trump had power - simply because America will get to see Trump in action, rather than just see all the scary stuff about him that the Dems spew out. So now Trump is in action...and they are rightly panicked!
