How many times did BO’s and his ilk go to church? Just a few times in EIGHT years and once was to hear a muslim speaker.

I agree. Even the MSM was and is stunned. I saw some of the message boards commenting on new articles. A few criticized her, saying she gave the prayer in a "tight dress", asking "Is THIS even ALLOWED!", and "Did she plagiarize it?"
But most of the press seemed completely caught off guard. They wanted to whine about Trump's latest artillery barrage on their bias and lies.
I also remember that Trump said during his inauguration address that ultimately, we depend on God for our protection, and that he had five religious prayers at the event, the most in history, including Rev. Franklin Graham and Rabbi Marvin Hier.
Watching Melania's prayer again, I keep going back of this passage from Samuel.
Therefore the LORD, the God of Israel, declares: 'I promised that members of your family would minister before me forever.' But now the LORD declares: 'Far be it from me! Those who honor me I will honor, but those who despise me will be disdained.
1 Samuel 2:30

The press is attempting to mock Trump, saying it was a "campaign rally."
The hypocrisy is stunning. Obama never stopped campaigning, and never put the country ahead of his propaganda and selfish interests!
Trump truly loves this country, and has a special place in his heart for forgotten working people, the military, police officers, victims of crime, and children.

It was an honor to be there! We went and represented all who couldn’t attend. It was amazing and magical! When Air Force one came in, I about died! That in itself was unbelievable! My tween daughter asked why that was so important. (She was excited to be there as well. Loves her some Trump!). We told her because it represents the most powerful country in the world and sovereignty. Now that respect has been brought back to the White House, we were humbled at the sight of that plane. It’s kinda hard to describe the feeling.....
My favorite moments of being there were watching the big bird, Air Force One come in while laughing at the protest freaks standing near me. They all went WOW when the big bird flew over our heads!

I sat in awe as she began reciting the prayer...and since, I have been thinking that this will be an enduring symbol of great change in the USA. I hope this makes closet Trump supporters feel proud enough to speak up.

At the inaugural prayer meeting, she clearly was moved by the song, “How Great Thou Art”. She stood and applauded and wiped tears from her eyes. It was spontaneous, because you could see other looking at each other as she stood, then they backed her play and also stood. I’m thinking this woman has been touched by the Spirit of the Lord.
Coming from a communist country, one wouldn’t necessarily expect that she would have been raised as a woman of faith. Her native Slovenia is by the numbers about 60% Roman Catholic.
Something about her response, though, says recent. There were reports out of the Franklin Graham group about Donald having an experience with Christ. I wonder if it also struck Melania Trump?
Agree 100%. I wondered too if How Great Thou Art, powerful in and of itself, might have been seen by her in the past possibly at a Billy Graham rally decades before in her country? It’s a stretch but literally God only knows why and how The Holy Spirit quickened her at the service. Brought tears to my eyes as a genuine touch.
I have Melanie pegged as an introvert, creative (her fashion sense is beyond excellent, which takes creativity), something of a homebody. What amazes me is the pair they make—the uber-extroverted Donald and the quiet, reserved Melania. I wouldn’t be the least surprised to find out that she has a sky-high IQ.
We don’t want royalty in the US...except when we —do— I want our own Princess. Or, Queen. I love to anticipate, “what’s she wearing?” pretty clothes!
