All winners think alike. Vince Lombardi would take the entire Green Bay Packer team to his favorite Italian restaurant and he would actually pick up the tab. Only downside is you ate what he ordered; if you ordered something different, then you paid for your meal....not him.

I think it was more that Trump liked the meatloaf and thought Christie would too. Kind of like....you gotta try this!

That meatloaf needs garlic and onions in it. Talk about plain.

My mother made meatloaf with onions, garlic, and green pepper in addition to the bread crumbs, egg, and ground beef. She made two versions of it: one plain and one with a with a glaze made of ketchup and Saucy Susan. The plain version was served with a mushroom gravy. Bother were delicious.

“I used to travel on business with my manager. On several occasions we would go out to a restaurant with senior leadership and my meal would be ordered for me. I just wrote it off as rank hath its privileges.”

I would not work for someone who operated that way.

“I would not work for someone who operated that way.”

It was actually pretty good. I didn’t mind having lobster and porterhouse steaks ordered for me. “Give him a shrimp cocktail, porterhouse, Caesar salad, we’ll order spinach and potatoes for the table” wasn’t a bad way to live. If he ordered his meal then said, “he’ll have the meat loaf” I would have been more concerned.

“It was actually pretty good.”

It really doesn’t matter what he ordered for you, it was still demeaning.

I think he is being lighthearted and teasing Trump.
Trump’s favorite meal is meatloaf I have read.

I can relate. A really well made meatloaf is wonderful.

::A really well made meatloaf is wonderful.::

I love meatloaf and serve it with baked potatoes and corn - either frozen, canned or on the cob...too much starch, I know but>>>>>> The best thing about leftover meatloaf is hot meatloaf sandwiches the next day.....

http://oneforthetable.com/Stories/donald-trump-loves-his-mothers-meatloaf.html

“While the world thinks his joy in life comes from yelling, “You’re fired!” club members know better – His real joy in life is acting the Host. “Try the chopped steak. It’s the best! ...You know what’s great – the pretzel bread… This individually wrapped butter is so good. I don’t like those little flower butters. There is always a finger print on them!” The real secret is that Donald Trump wants his guests to feel good, important and to be happy … as happy as he felt when his mother, Scottish born Mary MacLeod Trump fixed Meat Loaf for him as a child. “I loved my mother and I loved her cooking … and, she was a real beauty!”

On the menu – along with the Raw Oysters, Champagne and Caviar – at Trump’s exclusive Mar–a-Lago Club, Mary MacLeod Trump’s Meat Loaf rules, and it is truly a man’s meal; it has all the warmth of a cozy aromatic kitchen and the familiar comfortable masculinity of a favorite armchair – but tastier. And, it makes Donald Trump smile!”

Yes but would President Trump order Mr. Loaf to eat the meatloaf if he was having him for dinner?

I would take it as though the meatloaf is my favorite and I want you to taste it for yourself kind of thing. I think we will have to try the Mary MacLeod Trump recipe in the next few days. We don’t make meatloaf often because some of our children won’t eat it. I order meatloaf at Cracker Barrel sometimes in order to get my fix.

Her recipe is almost mine other than the tomato purée on top. That’s just too much for me. Hubby uses ketchup on the top of his because I leave the purée off. Other than that the recipe is almost identical to how I make mine.
I took it the same way. Like it’s so good you gotta have the meatloaf.
