Bill Maher and Milo Yiannopoulos had their controversial showdown on HBOs Real Time on Friday night, though there were fewer sparks than some had expected.
The liberal talk show host and conservative Breitbart editor tried to find common ground during an 11-minute discussion (full video below), which made national headlines earlier this week after previously scheduled Real Time guest The Intercept co-founder Jeremy Scahill dropped out of the show to protest Yiannopoulos booking.
Maher and Yiannopoulos seemed to agree most when it came to the importance of comedy in general.
The reason [liberals] want to police humor is they cant control it because the one thing all authoritarians hate is the sound of laughter, Yiannopoulos said.
And also because when people laugh they know its true, Maher agreed.
You are so helped by the fact that liberals always take the bait.

I wrote a bad review of the movie. I said she look like a dude, she does. I said shes barely literate, she is. And I simply dont accept that the star of a Hollywood blockbuster is sitting in a Hollywood mansion crying over mean words on the internet; get over it. Mean words on the internet dont hurt anyone, he said.
He doesn't pull any punches LOL.
And Maher is such an a**hole...
Milo, please don’t make Bill Mayer cry. There’s enough water in California and the dams are overflowing.
You can’t fit Milo into a 10 minute box. Recommend watching one of his seminars on youtube.
Maher calls people names all the time. and yet the libs don’t seem to be bothered by it.
You can only call Conservatives names on Maher’s show.
Terrible interview. Bill Maher yacked way too much.
I got the sense of a mongoose (Maher) circling around a new type of snake (Milo) and not really knowing how to attack and being somewhat afraid. Maher got a shot at Trump at the end and didn’t give Milo a chance to reply. I think Maher was really scared he would lose. He prefers shooting fish in a barrel. Milo did very well given the environment.
Liberal's heads explode.
Good metaphor, and with an audience desperate to applaud any tiny point that Maher made, and they were few.
#outclassed
I thought Maher wrapped up by taking punches and then RUNNING AWAY.
I do think Milo will be back on the show, though.
A freminder that Maher once BEAT UP his black girlfriend, got arrested and sued for it.
Diverse..?
Keepin’ it real..?
“Yet Yiannopoulos made blatant sexist comments during the interview, criticizing Amy Schumer and Sarah Silverman as people who used to be funny before they contracted feminism.”
.....
This author, James Hibbard, thinks if you don’t like feminism you are sexist. He is completely confused.
Just as they shut him down in the main interview when he was trying to defend Trump, they shut him down in this one too, when he was trying to say maybe being gay is a disorder. (Not of course that he’d have it any other way.)
With the liberals if you do not endorse the feminist agenda, you are a misogynist; if you do not believe all whites are racist, then you are a white supremacist; and if you believe marriage is between a man and a woman, then you are a homophobe.
Liberals makeup a word for every political stance that conservatives take, and use the word over and over again with negative connotations. They think they are tolerant, but if Rush Limbaugh coins a word for radical feminists - ‘feminazis’ they oh so offended and indignant and call him a hater.
Why do articles keep implying Wilcox told Milo “F—k yourself” to his face? (Link headline). I doubt Wilcox would have the guts or cajones to ever try that. I guess that means Milo won the debate.
Maher afraid he’d lose - you’ve come up with the definitive description of that Maher interview.
Thanks for pointing out that nonsense.
In this one too? I thought he was only interviewed at the beginning of the show.
