California Democrats made a surprise move late Friday to foil President Trump’s promise to repeal ObamaCare—by introducing a stand-alone, single-payer healthcare system in California. The Mercury News reported that two California lawmakers Friday introduced legislation to replace private insurance with a government-run health care system covering all 38 million Californians—including its undocumented residents.
“We’ve reached this pivotal moment,” Sen. Ricardo Lara (D-Bell Gardens), told the Mercury News in an interview Friday, “and I thought to myself: `Look, now more than ever is the time to talk about universal health care.’”

Just wait until President Trump chases out 3 Million Illegals from SoCal. Apartments Buildings will be a dime a dozen, Plain Ordinary single family home will plummet from their wildly inflated values.
The Houses in PACOIMA appraise at about $400,000, when I was a Kid in the 60’s the SAME Houses were $9000!!!

I wholeheartedly support a single payer health system in California. The nation needs a really blatant example of failing socialism. England is too far away. Even Canada we don’t hear much about.

Well we cannot stop them from doing themselves in. The rus must ensure they do not get sucked down the financial vortex. It is at the point the people paying for this must stop an unresponsible “elected” government. Meanwhile DO NOT LET THEM pass these costs onto the other 49. After unconstitutional federal taxes are stopped then the states will probably find a tsunami of new revenues that they won’t know what to do with, establishing their own social security and healthcare programs for starters.

As a federalist of sorts, I really don’t care if California goes full socialist on its health care industry. And I don’t care if they open it up to all Californian inhabitants. If that’s what Californian voters want, they deserve to get it good and hard.
However, I’d prefer outright secession.
Just model it after the Mexican Healthcare System.

I smell a lot of money to be made here in AZ in the medical care industry if they are so stupid to do this.
Lived in the UP of Mich for 40 years. The Canadians used to run over the border and get their treatment in droves.
