I’m in Central Nebraska. I should be about about a 100 miles from the beach by now.

“could” does not equal “will”, when talking about something that could happen or will happen. I can use the word “could” in all sorts of sentences to scare the crap out of anyone, but since I can’t prove any of it, I don’t.

Not to worry, the Earth killing Asteroid will strike long before that happens.

IT’s interesting how the sea level is only rising in Florida.

I remember the headlines in 1979—we will be out of natural gas in the USA by 1985.

32 years later, and we are exporting it.

And in 1985 the same loonies were warning of an impending ice age.

My wife and I were in St. Augustine Florida which was founded by the Spanish in 1565. Many of the permanent structures built next to the water at that time are still standing. Yes, there has been a slow and steady rise in Sea levels since 1565, but even with all the leftist wishful thinking the rate of rise has not increased during the modern era. If you try to look it up you will be inundated with crap from leftist websites claiming that St. Augustine will be under water soon and that there has been more flooding as more people have moved into the area.

If you look at almost any historic landmark on the water along the East Coast, West Coast, or Gulf of Mexico you will find some far fetched excuse from leftists about why each of them does not appear to be sinking into the ocean. It seems that nearly every historic landmark in the United States is located on ground that is rising at nearly the same rate as the seas. This probably includes President Trump's properties so I don't think that he has a lot to worry about.

Liberals see the future, and will be just as wrong as they’ve always been.

Even the rich liberals don’t really believe this stuff. If they did, they would be dumping all THEIR beachfront property on the market and it could be snatched up for pennies on the dollar.

What are celebrities in Malibu with beachfront property doing about this crisis?

I think they are just getting high and hating Trump.

It is amazing how sea level rise only happens where coastal erosion and subsidence occures.

Ft Mantanzas! I’ve been there several times!

Need to go again.

Upthread someone was talking about the ‘canal towns’ of Florida.

Look around Ft. Lauderdale/Dania Beach.

We bought our sailboat there a couple of years ago. One of the boats we were looking at (a 31ft Cabo Rico) was in one of these canals a good 5 miles from the ocean. There looks to be more water there than streets! (but I could be exaggerating)
