There are passports and there are visas. Passports are issued by country of origination. Visas are by the country you are traveling in. both recorded in your passport book.

Current visa rules are in a state of flux:

The Department of State had also, under the Executive Order, provisionally revoked all valid visas of nationals of those seven countries.  That provisional revocation is now lifted, and those visas are now valid for travel to the United States, if the holder is otherwise eligible.  Individuals whose visas are expired, or were physically cancelled, must apply for a new visa at a U.S. embassy or consulate, absent a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) decision to grant parole or waive the visa requirement at the port of entry.  We are looking further into this issue and will revise this site with any updates.  https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/news/executive-order-on-protecting-the-nation-from-terrorist-attacks-by-foreign-nationals.html

Interesting unintended consequence? Visa revoked and must be reapplied for? So even if the court stopped the executive order, it still has the intended result? Expired or cancelled visa’s must be reapplied for or they are BREAKING THE LAW. Trump got part of what he wanted, he will get the rest................

How many expired visas are there?
