President Trump defended his performance during his first four weeks in office and criticized the “out of control” media during a hastily assembled press briefing at the White House on Thursday.

Here’s how his first briefing as president measured up to Barack Obama’s on Feb. 9, 2009.

Trump’s opening statement was nearly three times as long as Obama’s.

Trump: 3,547 words. Obama: 1,196 words.

And that was before they took questions from the press. Trump’s lasted almost 90 minutes. Obama’s was right at an hour.

President Trump was having a conversation with we the people. Honest & refreshing. I loved it. Hope he does it more often.

With BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA, most every speech after that was
long-winded, verbose & preachy. - TRUMP tore the MSM a new
one, and rightfully so.

I thought Trump was funny, direct, truthful, and enjoyed the press conference.

Obama was staged, stiff, teleprompter reading empty suit, and the press did nothing for 8 years other than kiss his a$$.

Exactly. He’s not a phony, polished politician. He’s the real deal. I hope he proves all his critics wrong & continues to MAGA!

Trump kept saying we, we, we while Odumbo kept saying me, me, me.

Someone rather trustworthy said that President Trump called on and answered 17 questions from the press corps yesterday, while Obama’s standard was never more than 8 questions.

That figures given the Muslim-Marxist’s penchant for boring, long-winded, non-committal and/or evasive answers.

And, of course, the Obama White House was given the questions in advance.

Trump could run his “Beat the Press” show in prime time every week and be the number one rated show.

What stood out as STARK contrast, was the pronoun WE and OUR...used repeatedly, vs the Obama I. It was remarkable. Study that and do a word count and see what you get. It is a mindset, and not a slip of the tongue. Check it out.

President Trump talked to the People again and rightfully so, no damn TWEETS, to the People.

Then ripped into the LAME ASS MEDIA. Loved it. Told that one biotch to sit down and I thought she was going to cry.

Best news conference ever and I believe the ONLY news conference that I have ever EVER been able to watch from start to finish.

I could never watch ObucketOshit, never. Not even with the sound off or TV off.

I’d try to listen to zero just to see what the hell he had in store for us next but my husband would make me turn it off or stomp away because first off he’d say he could not listen to the whistling teeth let alone his rambling b.s.

Obama 1,196 words, over half of which were I, me, my and other first person references.

Actually, the obammy WH probably handed out the questions in advance.

Very good, TigerClaws. And another difference is the depth of answers Trump gave on subjects he cared about discussing. He gave back lots of insight, particularly on our politics with Russia.

I couldn't watch more than 5 minutes of Obama. . .but in those 5 minutes, I counted at least 6 bald-face lies. He also was whining about the "1 trillion deficit" that he inherited. . .like he really was intent on balancing the budget. . .right. The other noticeable was he was calling on reporters based on a list of reporters that were already selected to ask questions. There were no frothing reporters shouting, "Mr. President" trying to get picked. I have no doubt that if the reporters were already chosen, probably their questions were submitted beforehand so Obambi could prep his answer and appear glib.

This was as boring as watching a kid on his first tricycle while Trump's was comparable to the excitement of Dale Earnhardt streaking across the finish line and winning the Daytona 500 with the entire field wrecking in flames behind him in the "Big One."
