Networked(voip) desk phones can be easily hacked to listen to what is going on in the room - especially if you installed the system.

Hopefully they took steps to preclude that. Another potential issue would be if they’re using any voice-controlled apps or features like Windows 10 Cortana. “Siri, find me the leaker.” “The leaker is Ben Rhodes. . .”

Info, all different in some way and all false, were strategically given to suspects and some or all of them passed the tagged "info" to the media (You).
The media ran with it and published the "leaks" unwittingly enabling Trump's team to identify the leaker(s).

What a waste of money.

The Trump team needs to use the newest and most effective technology hardware/software and sweep the entire white house for listening/video devices.

And either get a top notch team of forensic experts to vet every computer or them them out.

It will probably be easier and less expensive to replace the computers.

The newly installed Obama computers need to be reprogramed so the Trump admin can watch them. And then make sure they all go into democrat hands.

Give some to the DNC and every democrat in congress. It's quite obvious that Obama had this done to compromise Trump's admin.
