It is still down 141 feet.Quite a few fathoms I believe,maybe this Weather System will help.
I’ve long thought that it would be a grand idea for some of the states prone to drought to create a series of cavernous cisterns along the major flood routes. That is, mine some deep, gigantic caverns in hard rock, lined to reduce seepage, and put great drains on the bottom, and once they are at capacity with flood water, slowly and methodically filter out the silt, salts and detritus.
Think of it as a below ground dam reservoir.
Hard pan here is at about 6 inches. Rain typically falls, pools in low areas and sits there until it evaporates. Some sections of road are likely to be submerged for a week.
Last summer we bought a truck & 5th-wheel and were planning t spend the winter WARM!
Didn’t work out and it’s been colder than normal for most of the winter and now this.
Guess I’m glad we didn’t go after all.
