Y’all do realize not a single one of these people loses a paycheck? They are gov’t employees. When they get 3 yrs service, they become career. Can’t be fired.
If they were political appointees then of course they were on the way out, regardless.
So this throwing people out of 7th floor stuff, all that means is these people are transferred to some other job, by regulation no more than 50 miles distant, and they work at that new job til retirement.
So don’t think these people are “FIRED”. They aren’t. They are just moved to another position and their present position filled with . . . political appointees.
“Cant be fired.”
BS!
The executive of a Federal Dept can reorganize, reduce staff, combine functions and drive efficiencies.
He can lay these folks off as redundant.
That’s a far piece from firing for cause which invites scrutiny and rules.
There is a lot of value in greatly increasing the ranks of government employees who are no longer have a job in D.C. Takes us closer to recovering our Free Constitutional Republic.
The way-out-of-control pension deal also needs to get fixed but you can start with the one and then follow up with the other.
Don’t have to fire them.
Stick them in an empty office building with simple desks, simple chairs, no computers, no phones no faxes, no typewriters. Just unsharpened pencils and a manual pencil sharpener — the ones where you have to twist by hand.
Set up surveillance cameras. Provide 1 unisex bathroom and a timeclock.
I bet 50% of them couldn’t last a year.
Greatly reduce their pay, stick them in uniforms and assign them to clean toilets, scrub outsides of buildings, side walks etc, all sorts of wonderful ways they can truly work for their paycheck since many have been getting paid for very little real work for years.
