On Friday, President Trump and his entourage will jet for the third straight weekend to a working getaway at his oceanfront Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Fla. On Saturday, Trump’s sons Eric and Don Jr., with their Secret Service details in tow, will be nearly 8,000 miles away in the United Arab Emirates, attending the grand opening of a Trump-brand golf resort in the “Beverly Hills of Dubai.”

The Clintons still have Secret Service protection-—those SS people live in a house on the Clinton property & the Clintons charge the Federal Government & the taxpayers $10,000 PER MONTH for the rent.

I would bet that no other house in Chappaqua is a rental for $10,000 a month.

Clown Dunce nobama and his “wife” spent $10,000,000,000,000.00 on who-knows-what during their infestation of the Presidency. Now these media idiots complain about President Trump??? What fools.

Three days ago I flew from Ft Lauderdale to DC Dulles. 90 minutes. So Trump is making a short hop to a place he already owns, with a security envelope in place for decades, with a service staff doing their normal workday.

I’d say the taxpayers are getting a good deal here.

PRESIDENT TRUMP is not taking a Presidential salary
(about a quarter of a million dollars right there).

The OBAMAS were given carte blanche. See. They were
“black”.

Perhaps we should find out if Trump Enterprises is paying for the actual travel, excepting the security, before we make such a simplistic comparison?

I'm not aware of any reports indicating that they are.

MM: Perhaps we should find out if Trump Enterprises is paying for the actual travel, excepting the security, before we make such a simplistic comparison?

DD: I'm not aware of any reports indicating that they are.

That is my point, actually. We have a single report that leaves unanswered a key question in whether this trip is an undue burden on the taxpayer, and the assumption is that the taxpayers are screwed. If the media has facts to report that show the taxpayer is being fleeced, then they should report it. If they have evidence that Trump Enterprises is footing the non-security related items, then they should report that, as well.

By leaving certain facts out of the story, the media routinely shapes the narrative to impair or destroy a Republican politician.

Consider the stories about the illegal aliens being picked up for deportation - the "mother of two" from Texas (I think) is a 5-time felon, having voted illegally at least that many times, and having committed other offenses. But those facts are omitted, leading the reader to believe that she is ONLY guilty of being in the country illegally.

Until the media start investigating and reporting on all of the facts, they deserve to be ridiculed and ignored.

I don’t think a President can accept travel costs being paid by a private company.

What non-security items would that be? Trump pays for his own food and lodging, just as every other president has. The government foots the bill for Air Force One, the Secret Service, any other transportation, whatever staff goes along, and food, lodging and any other expenses for them on the trip. What's left for Trump Organization to pay?

I think you missed the fact that the trip to Dubai doesn’t include the President.

DJT is headed to Florida.

Or are you arguing that Trump should not be allowed to leave Washington for the weekend?
