Maybe it’s not a coincidence that Barnum & Bailey is folding its tents this year. After all, how could the circus possibly compete with Donald Trump?

Amid feverish reports of chaos on his team and with Democrats fantasizing that Russia-gate is another Watergate, Trump took center stage to declare that reports of his demise are just more fake news.
Far from dead, he was positively exuberant. His performance at a marathon press conference was a must-see-tv spectacle as he mixed serious policy talk with stand-up comedy and took repeated pleasure in whacking his favorite pinata, the “dishonest media.”

Trump’s detractors immediately panned the show as madness, but they missed the method behind it and proved they still don’t understand his appeal. Facing his first crisis in the Oval Office, he was unbowed in demonstrating his bare-knuckled intention to fight back.
He did it his way. Certainly no other president, and few politicians at any level in any time, would dare put on a show like that.

Good ol mike medved was unamused.
The press conference was Trump’s grand slam.
It was also the pitcher’s time to stand there, watch the ball sail out of the park, as well as the four runners stomp on the plate as they went by.
Later, explaining the whole thing, the press described it as a fluke play where an unseen gust of wind carried a ‘bunt’ to the bleachers.
Those of us in the national grandstand, saw the whole thing.

You see, there has never been any intention to work with him or put the country first. It has always been to destroy Trump and in a very real way, those who voted for him.
We did not declare war. You, the media did.

I didn't see all of it and maybe he asked the media the following question. (If not, he needs to): Why do you think the public trust in you is 30% or lower?

Yes, that would be a great question to ask them. Over and over and over. With follow up, such as "What are your plans to bring that number up? Maybe, try honesty.
But the problem isn’t how it plays with us. We like him.
It doesn’t matter about the Dem-Libs either because even he was revealed as The Second Coming, they would hate him.
The MOR people, the ones who hated Hillary more than they disliked President Trump, they are the ones he was to play to now.... and it’s not working.
