Millions Went To California Dam In Good Shape
The Washington Free Beacon is reporting that of the $34 billion that the State of California received from Obama’s 2009 stimulus package, $0 went to the failing Oroville dam while millions went to a dam that was in ‘good shape’.
From The Free Beacon:
Despite more than a decade of warnings about Oroville, there is no public record of the country’s tallest dam receiving any of the more than $34 billion from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act sent to California for infrastructure projects.
Over $22 million in stimulus funds did go toward safety improvements to the Folsom Dam, which was described as in “good shape” at the time the grant was awarded in 2009…
…Stimulus projects awarded to the state included $2.2 million for “more attractive” sidewalks and $2.5 million for a 205-acre “zero net energy” community on the University of California Davis campus to put a greater “emphasis on walking” and bicycling.

Sacramento area vs Oroville and related countryside ... I simply cannot understand why anyone would be mystified that the money went where it did!
From 1932 on the Democrats have carried Sacramento county in all but 1972, 80, 84, and 88.

Sac area voted for Brown and Obama where Folsom dam is.
UC Davis may be worse then UC Berkley in hating America and loving Brown/Obama.

Before one more dime is spent on “infrastructure” improvement there should be a complete investigation as to where the three-quarters of a trillion dollar stimulus money from 2009 was actually spent, since Obama was noted a year later laughing and joking “I guess there weren’t as many shovel ready jobs as I thought there were”.....
Bet an equal amount went into his wallet.

Taxpayer funds can no longer be given to the states; it all winds up in the hands of cronies. Somehow, money has to be paid as work is actually done. That means invoices, inspection, inventory control and performance before money is paid.

I am beginning to understand why I have been mesmerized by the slow motion potential cataclysmic disaster that a failure of the Oroville Dam would be. It is a metaphor for the state of affairs in the USA.
