FULL TITLE: This is really unprecedented: ICE detains woman seeking domestic abuse protection at Texas courthouse
A hearing in El Paso County in Texas went from ordinary to unprecedented last week when half a dozen Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents showed up at a courthouse where an undocumented woman was seeking a protective order against the boyfriend she accused of abusing her.
The woman, a citizen of Mexico who was living in El Paso had been driven to the courthouse by a victims advocate from the Center Against Sexual and Family Violence, a shelter for victims of domestic abuse where she had been living.
She left under arrest.

An incident like what happened in the courthouse last week really puts fear in people, Bernal said. One of the things that really worries me is that it only takes one isolated incident like this.
Whether the courthouse stakeout was indeed an isolated incident remains unclear. An ICE spokeswoman declined to comment Wednesday in response to questions from El Paso Times reporter Marty Schladen, who first wrote about the case.

"According to the affidavit, I.E.G. has a criminal and immigration history that dates back to 2010 and includes numerous deportations and arrests for assault, violating probation, domestic violence, false imprisonment and possession of stolen mail."
And, why should the people of TX (or whatever state) be having to pay their court staff, judges, public defenders, etc., to protect the illegal. Not to mention, if the offender against whom the protection order is issued, violates the order, then they have to pay for police, courts, jails, public defenders, and so on.... She should be deported. I am fine with that.
Is this the one that is transgender? I am losing track.
This is wonderful. Here is a clue. Don’t come here illegally. Come legally. Great story thanks. Made my day.
It wasn’t a woman, it was a tranny.
She wanted protection from an allegedly abusive boyfriend, and ICE offered to move her completely out of the country. All expenses paid. Now that’s “going the extra mile”. ICE should be commended.
Don’t look to the law for help when you abuse the law.
Talk about thumbing your nose at our judicial system. You are here illegally and you go to court for something? Are these people stupid (rhetorical question)? It makes me so angry that anyone here illegally feels safe enough to avail themselves to a court OF LAW.
Shouldn’t the headline read:
‘ICE rescues woman seeking domestic abuse protection at Texas courthouse’ ?
After all, being in a different country than her abuser is much safer than a protective order.
Just sayin’

TTTTTAAAAAGGGGGLLLLIIIIINNNNNNEEEEEE
LOL, I like your train of thought on this.
[It wasnt a woman, it was a tranny.]

Wow. Years ago I was involved in setting up the local shelter for abused women. It served and maybe still does serve a need. But there were strict rules. No men allowed. I worked with people there but never went there and was not allowed to know the address. (I’m female). Later I think that they decided I was evil because I proved in court that one of their favorite clients was basically making it all up. Anyway, the point is - to allow a tranny there is something I don’t think would have happened when I was involved with them. I don’t even knew whether any of us knew what one was until Crocodile Dundee.
Another upstanding democrat.....
“E.G.” would also be the initials of a man who THINKS he’s a she ... what a coincidence!
Or is the media just now leaving out the “trans” so folks don’t know a story is about some sick demented soul?
I’m guessing that the period of having to use trans is passing, as we should just blindly believe whatever madness some nutter claims.
“Even so, Bernal said, its hard to imagine how they would justify the rationale for staking out a courtroom that deals in granting protective orders.”
-So, why did you stake out the courtroom?
-Well, we thought we could catch her there.
JUSTIFIED!
That pretty much takes care of most of California along with Chicago, New York and another 30 or more Sanctuary Cities.
The law is being enforced in courtrooms? I’m shocked!
Yes, just another fine illegal immigrant working hard until she was picked on by DJT.
If boyfriend was abusing her she should be happy that she is getting a free ride out of the country and away from him.
Put her in prison for a while, seize her assets, then deport her. If she returns, shoot her. Enough with these illegal alien invader felons.
