That is an excellent choice of words.
The media and our political parties, Democrats in particular, but also certain usual suspect Repubics, are creating a dangerous situation with their hysterical, paranoid and dishonest bullshit. A situation that places us in danger, because they have some political goal they want to achieve through such means. DESPICABLE!
So For our President to address that situation with the sober tone he is using is both appropriate and smart. This is very serious.
