Some Democrats prepare to withhold paying federal taxes in potentially the biggest tax boycott since the Vietnam War, according to a report from The Guardian. The National War Tax Resistance Coordinating Committee (NWTRCC), which campaigns for federal tax boycotts, says there has “renewed interest in war tax resistance following Trump’s inauguration,” with the website’s traffic doubling in the past month.
“Something has clicked in the minds of thousands of people across the country… we don’t want to pay for Trump’s agenda! While many of the reasons people are fed up—extreme militarism, mass incarceration, police brutality, and mass deportations—are part of the foundation of our country, it is exciting to see many new people contacting NWTRCC and wanting to organize in their communities,” the website reads.

Go ahead, those taxes are paying for welfare food stamps and handouts. The rest of us work for a living and will do okay.
Any uncollected revenue should be deducted from the amounts available to pay welfare, or the salaries of tenured bureaucrats, but I repeat myself.
One woman said she has been doing this for years and she has only received letters from the IRS telling her she owes back taxes. Amazing.

An excellent idea. They should be encouraged not to file, especially if they have a refund due since they’re employer has already sent in their withholdings. Let them explain their failure to file to the IRS.

She is lying about not filing. The IRS has no way of knowing if you owe anything unless you file. Just because your employer or hers reports wages to IRS doesn’t mean taxes are owed.
Normally I’d be worried. But, since the overwhelming majority of the democratic base pays no taxes, I’m not losing any sleep over this.
Somehow Varney on Fox Business thinks that income tax policy change will unleash the economy.
He is wrong. Only 50% pay meaningful amount of income tax above SS and Medicare taxes, which is not going to be cut.
More important is medical insurance (i.e. Obamacare) reform. These policies and deductibles are killing everyone.
If we insist on tax based funding of our health care, then we will have to go with VAT in lieu of health medical payments. This ensures everyone pays, including the uninsured. Another way to put it: the uninsured will pay at least some health expense via their purchases.
Then a carrot approach. If you don’t spend your allotted health account, you get money back or rolled over. If you go over then the insurance kicks in.
Start with that nappy haired one living in Brooklyn who is PROUD that he pays no taxes. That would be a great place to start.
What a great idea. All Democrat politicians should file a W-4 claiming 20 exemptions, and then refuse to file an Income Tax Return this April.
Doesn’t matter. Garnish wages.

They don’t just put a lien. If you fail to file or file some sort of silly-ass “protest” statement without payment, there are YUGE penalties and they don’t just lien, THEY LIQUIDATE. And in the case of tax scofflaws, THEY IMPRISON.
And IRAs and the like are NOT off limits — nothing is.
To tell the IRS enforcement arm “you are weapons-free on these yahoos” is like tossing big beautiful raw steaks in front of wolves.
There won’t be anything left of these “protesters.”
