Sally Kohn Has A Genius Plan For President Clinton
Townhall.com ^ | February 15, 2017 | Christine Rousselle

I've written before about how we should probably be praying for Sarah Silverman in light of the 2016 election, and now it looks as though we should add CNN's Sally Kohn to our prayer list as well.

In a tweet posted on Wednesday morning, Kohn laid out a "straightforward" path as to how to get a "President Clinton."

Spoiler alert: it is not straightforward.

The internet had quite a bit of fun making their own versions of this "straightforward" plan and mocking Kohn's apparent lack of knowledge of how the Constitution actually works. (There is no need for a special election if both Donald Trump and Mike Pence were impeached as Speaker Paul Ryan would be next in line.)

This flap over Flynn is all about laying the groundwork for a charge of treason against Trump. Grahamnesty and all the Rinos will fall right in line to help impeachment along.

You could be right, but it won’t work. The electorate isn’t in the mood for that kind of DC shenanigans.

Of course, the responses from the 5-year-olds will be more thoughtful and realistic.

Biggest problem with that line of “thinking” is ignoring the shadow government aimed at installing the half breed as President for life. No way SWMNBN gets any closer to the Oval Office than being invited.

It was videos of nut jobs like her that made me stop watching TED talks completely.

For every decent one, there are dozens of idiotic clips to self promote some college professor.

Kind of like the typical college staff, with good lighting but more idiocy.

Still no good. Pence does not get to choose his VP. Speaker of the House becomes VP.

Educated idiot? Perhaps.

Or Kohn is engaging in subterfuge to continue the meme of treason and extra-constitutional actions...I happen to believe that she is smart enough to know the Constitutional requirements regarding chain of command....the masses that listen to her don’t and get stirred up with her subterfuge.

Regardless of whether or not she is stupid, I think she and her type are dangerous in this low-information age.

The trouble with the scenario is if done separately Pence would immediately get a vp thus forcing another removal and on and on.

The new VP would have to be confirmed by both Houses of Congress.

If Congress is willing to impeach and convict Trump and Pence, they probably wouldn't confirm Pence's new VP, leaving Ryan as next in line.

But the whole thing is so unlikely. It's not going to happen.

25th amendment, ratified in 1967:

"Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both houses of Congress.:

This has been used twice: to replace Spiro Agnew when he resigned, and to fill the vacancy created when Ford became President.

First sentence in your post#11

She maybe left out step one: Democrats regain majority in both the House and Senate.

We had the House and Senate from 2001 to the end of 2006

The midterm election was in November 2006, and because so many Freepers and others wanted to teach the GOP a lesson, they sat the election out. I am not saying that you did also, but that is the only way the rats can get the majority back again

I’ve never sat out an election, or urged anyone else to. My comment was meant along the lines of, ‘Perhaps the Dems can sprout wings and fly to the moon.’ That is about their odds of regaining majorities in both chambers any time soon.
