Omarosa Manigault, a top adviser to President Trump, said she has a recording of a recent contentious exchange with a White House reporter.
April Ryan, a veteran White House correspondent for American Urban Radio Networks (AURN) told The Washington Post she was “physically intimidated” by Manigault after an exchange last week.
"She stood right in my face like she was going to hit me,” Ryan told the newspaper. “I said, 'You better back up.' "
Now, Manigault says she has a recording of the dispute that was also shared with some other reporters, according to the Post.
Ryan said she did not know she was being recorded during the incident. “I didn’t know she was taping it,” she said. “This is about her trying to smear my name. This is freaking Nixonian.”
Manigault told the Post that the White House press staff records interviews with reporters "all the time." “When you come into (the press staff’s offices), you’re on the record," she said.

I honestly find her to be the most eloquent and effective mouthpiece of Trump’s administration. Her schooling of The View has was a thing of beauty.

Get me the unedited tape and then we can talk about who did what bullying in a verbal throw down.

Ryan tried to start a mess, not knowing she was taped.
Now her defense is “This is Nixonian.”
She got caught. Simple as that.
All you know at this point is that April Ryan came in..from there..you need the UNEDITED tape.
I think it should be released.
It probably won’t be...but it might be with some kind of lawsuit because there are going to be people that want to know if the word “dossiers” was used.
She would not be able to “smear your name” with anything if she didn’t have proof of you lying, now would she?
What I know is Ryan tried to start some crap having no idea that her tirade was taped.
Now she changing her story.

It’s obvious that these reporters should be recorded considering they have shown to be untrustworthy, lie, or at minimum omit/spin the story.
It’s pretty funny that a reporter is shocked that she was recorded considering this is what they do all the time in their line of work - record conversations. She just didn’t expect it to reveal her lie.
It may be small, but it was smart. These reporters need to be recorded and held accountable.
