If they are listening to the Russian ambassador, and I would just assume that is standard operating procedure, and he gets a call that says, “hey good buddy, this is Flynn, keep those deposits coming to Mr. Trump’s secret accounts, because we’re definitely rolling back those there sanctions”, how would they not know who that is?
The article about contacts with Russians says they made a conscious decision to try and find out if Trump people were violating the law. Obama did this to spy on Trump to help Hillary’s Russia narrative. Releasing it is also a serious crime.
If that is how it happened, that’s is plausible. However, if they first monitored Flynn, then an order would be needed.
NO! They cannot identify Flynn in any transcript. To do so is a felony.
