Haven't heard that since I was stationed at NKP.

> I quit cable. Only have local.

That's what happens when your're a enormous business enterprise and you choose to support leftists who hate capitalism, especially when they're not your paying customers. ESPN forgot who their real customer base was and ostracized them inthe name of politics. They deserve what they get. They thought they were expendable to hardcore ports fans. Wrong...

They didn't think that one through..then again,.lefties never do.

I don’t like the politics, but they broadcast a ton of college basketball games. Thanks to ESPN and ROOT, I’m able to see at least 90% of Gonzaga’s games during the season.

First, I ditched ESPN just last week. Second, I don’t mind seeing a female sports reporter occasionally, but ESPN has obviously become diversity central.

ESPN Reportedly Losing 10k Subscribers
Unfortunately, I can't be one of those ten thousand. Not all that long ago, maybe 6-7 years, I didn't subscribe to ESPN.
Then one day the monthly TW cable bill came and it had increased about $5 from the previous bill.
Without asking or even bothering to tell its subscribers, TW just put ESPN into the "bundle" of shows we receive and raised the price.
So, unless I cancel cable, I can't unsubscribe. SOBs.

ESPN quit doing straight sports. CNN quit doing straight news. And the Weather Channel quit doing straight weather. MTV quit doing straight music. AMC quit doing straight classic movies.

Narrowcasting worked, but folks weren’t satisfied with their slice of the pie - they wanted someone else’s slice, as well. And now the pie is getting smaller.

IMO, university-indoctrinated MBAs are running most all of our bigger companies. They got turned into progressives, and they’re now doing their part to create that ‘better world’ they dream of (and getting fame and A-list invites for their part in it).

Same here. Cut the cord three years ago. Haven’t regretted it once. Was worried about ability to watch sports, but there are streaming services that show sports and do very little ‘commentary’.

You are SO on target with that observation!

I am actually considering writing a book called
“How MBAs Are Ruining The World”.

It is happening to my company. 3 years ago we brought in one of the notorious consulting companies to “fix” our organization. The problem was that we weren’t broken. Almost $3b/yr in sales.

The first thing the all MBA consulting team did was put everybody in a box. Guess who went into all the upper executive boxes? People with MBA’s. Didn’t matter that they didn’t know jack and had almost no experience. They actually made the recommendation that we layoff most management that didn’t have an MBA.

This year we will be lucky to do $1B. They walked away with a $200M consulting fee.

FoxSports, are you listening? Don’t screw up. You have an opening.

If the cable companies would let people pick the channels they wanted instead of having to get a “package” of them, a whole lot of crap would be gone.

Their leader doesn’t care about ‘who’ ESPN is. They care about their brave new world social agenda, as they were indoctrinated to do at university. Just like journalists and teachers and attorneys.
