California Governor Prioritizes Illegals Over Infrastructure that Supports Citizens

According to a report from the Washington Times, California Governor Jerry Brown has been spending $25 billion a year supporting illegal immigrants while neglecting the failing Oroville dam.

From The Washington Times:

The flood danger from the Oroville Dam receded Monday, but California was hit by a wave of criticism for failing to heed warnings about risks to the spillway at a time when the state spent generously on illegal immigrants and high-speed rail.

California Gov. Jerry Brown, a Democrat, came under fire amid reports that federal and state officials for years rebuffed or ignored calls to fortify the massive 50-year-old dam, which provides water to more than 20 million farmers and residential consumers.

I would give the infrastructure money to the states that are taking care of business. Winners that is.

The governor cannot spend money on dams. He has to prioritize spending--just like everyone else--and making sure that illegal aliens get generous handouts and that the train to nowhere gets built is *far* more important than maintaining some silly dam. Not only that, but he's an environmentalist, and environmentalists know how bad dams are for the environment.

I hope that people can discern the sarcasm without the tag.

“Governor Jerry Brown has been spending $25 billion a year supporting illegal immigrants”

See, as I’ve said before, the $21 billion cost estimate for the Mexican wall isn’t that much money.

They should have fixed the spillway issues back in 2014 or 2015 for maybe just over $120 million total cost.

Mind you, even with the fixed spillway, there would be close to 175,000 cfs going down the Feather River from the dam right now--and Oroville would have suffered a lot of flood damage anyway.

The wall is a ONE TIME fixed cost. The 200 billion illegals cost us is every year !

And of course, a year ago, when there was little water behind the dam, it would have been much easier and cheaper to fix, rather than now when the dam is pretty much bursting at the seams.
