I seem to recall that the NY Times has a long history of cozying up to the Soviets by a reporter named Walter Duranty. He was their Moscow Bureau Chief for about 14 years, and filed extremely favorable reports about the wonders of the Soviet Union, and all the bad stuff others were saying about them were all lies. There was no famine in Ukraine or purges, all lies, according to Duranty. The NY Times published all of his stuff without question, and even submitted his stuff to get him a Pulitzer Prize, and they fell for it as well.
That was #fakenews then, and this whole Russia thing is #fakenews now.
Just curious——why did you call it #fakenews instead of just fakenews?
Why the hashtag?
