Advocates: Kurds Keeping Christians and Yazidis From Going Home
The Investigative Project on Terrorism ^ | 2-14-17 | John Rossomando

Iraq's Assyrian Christians and Yazidis face an uncertain future, and advocates claim that the Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) intends to prevent the minority groups from returning to the lands they fled in 2014 when ISIS took over. They also don't forget that the KRG and its Peshmerga militia fighters refused to defend them from the ISIS onslaught in 2014.

The Kurdish Peshmerga disarmed Christians and Yazidis prior to ISIS's June 2014 rampage across Iraq. Survivors of the ISIS onslaught told the Daily Beast in August 2014 that Kurdish authorities and the Peshmerga misled them and abandoned them when they came under attack.

Bitter feelings remain even after Kurdish and Yazidi forces and ended the terrorist group's presence in the Sinjar province in December 2015 where most Yazidis lived and freed several Christian towns from ISIS control last October.

This may be true, and on the other-hand, there are some folks out there that don’t want the Kurds to be respected.

I’m not sure how much of this I’m buying into.

The Kurds shielded the Yazidis from being eliminated, and allowed fleeing Assyrian Christians to enter their safe zone. Wait and see if this story is true.

There has been a concerted effort over decades to keep the Kurds from gaining independence. The effort has included misinformation, out right lies, and genocide. I’ll believe this article when pigs start flying.

I’m calling Bull-shit on this story. The Kurds have sheltered the fleeing Christians & Yazidis who had escaped the ISIS advances. The Yazidis ARE KURDS (their native language is Kurdish) who follow a religion other than Islam.

As the Kurdish forces have liberated territory from ISIS, they have been assisting Christians & Yazidis to return to those liberated territories. One thing the Kurds have actually had zero tolerance with are the ARAB MUSLIMS who had cooperated with ISIS and, in many cases, participated in atrocities with ISIS forces. I don’t blame the Kurds for sending those monsters packing. They’re lucky more is not done to them in reprisals.

Too many stories, bro.
Too many sources

We are conditioned to see the Kurds (Iraqi) as victims and noble fighters

But they are after all, mostly muslims
There are no true Good guys here
Only some that are not as bad as others,
sometimes

The Kurds are, after all, Molsem and derive their worldview from the same book that fuels ISIS.

Muslim Kurds are willing to protect Yazidis and Christians, so long as they follow the rules of Dhimmitude. No weapons allowed.
