Ebell says just half of the government agency needed to provide core mission on air, water
Myron Ebell, who headed President Donald Trumps transition team at the Environmental Protection Agency, said if it were up to him, the president would reduce agency funding by half and employees by two-thirds. Scott Slesinger, legislative director of the Natural Resources Defense Council, is worried that much of what we have come to rely on the EPA to do would be undone.

I'd vote to air drop them half way to the Canary Islands.
In the real world, they would all be fired, then allowed to re-apply for the positions. You then hire back the 1/3 you like, and repeat as necessary. It isn’t that difficult.
Y’all are too focused on the percentage. Let’s talk about plain old fines.
I’d do a massive reduction and hire the Rand Corp to do a stem to stern cost effectiveness scoring on every regulation going back to the EPA’s founding. Let the current remaining staff sit in on the meetings and try to explain them. Also check to see if said regulations are also duplicated with the EPA’s time frame and external duplication with @ Dept of Energy, Interior, BLM etc. My guess is their is duplication and they don’t even know it.
Thrown in elimination of NEA and a 75% reduction in CIA and NSA budgets are we’re getting somewhere.
