Students at Elizabethtown College this month are wearing white pins in the shape of puzzle pieces to remind them of their white privilege.
The campaign was launched over the weekend by the Elizabethtown College Democrats, who say it aims to make students at the small and private liberal arts college in Pennsylvania more introspective about issues of race, especially in their predominantly white region of Lancaster County.

They should go to Somalia for a semester or two as exchange students.
Especially the girls.
There they can immerse themselves in their hallowed diversity and experience the benefits of living as minorities.
And they won’t have to be concerned about the cursed white privlege they detest so much.
They will have the rare opportunity of seeing first hand the kind of future they long for here in the backwards, racist USA.
The cost shouldn’t be a consideration and they probably wouldn’t need a round trip ticket either.
At least til sh!t starts to break and they're clueless how to make anything work again.
A DU post a few years ago said white privileged is real because white kids are more likely to have 2 parents, parents who care about education & discipline, etc. which gives them an advantage getting into college, then in life. It would be great if these pins were a 2-parent family. I could actually wear one and support the campaign even though I disagree with the “white” part of the description and would rather call it “family privilege”.
I agree with the DUer’s statements and would love to see more acknowledgement of the problem. I don’t agree with the DU solution (more teachers to take the place of parents for non-whites) but we need to first agree on the problem to agree on solutions.
In K-12 too.
My first thought!
I’ll agree wear a white pin to remind me of “white privilege” as soon as black people start wearing black pins to remind them of the sky-high rates at which blacks commit violent felonies.
What was once voluntary will become mandatory.
Exactly. No-name, useless, expensive, college.
Is any college worth it, really?
i wear a black gun. does that mean i am thinking about black issues?
Snowflakes with their heads up their butts floating in the muck of the swamp. Quite a pic of higher education. Tenured eggheads sinking the ship with illegals cleaning their toilets.
Remember how “Deplorable” was turned around? Same can be done with this by refusing to wear it because it “might” be construed as offensive and promoting the idea of one group being better than another. And do we really need to be reminded of race? It seems it is almost all we ever hear about any more.
Great idea, thanks!

It seems to be intensifying. Charlie Daniels said we’re not divided we’re fractured.
No, they won't be asking.
Regards,
Are they still also wearing diaper pins?
Can I purchase one of these pins for myself. This will help remind me of my whiteness, while I continue to support these poor souls as I work dutifully my 2 jobs and pay taxes. I keep wondering, what if all working whites just up and quit, what would happen to this country of white privledge.
So the democrats are promoting anti-white racism?
How about brown ribbons for affirmative action?
