I’ve posted here previously that I am convinced Sandusky’s perversions were an open secret in the college football community for exactly the reasons you stated. All the coaching spots that came open five years after his retirement, some of them plum positions, some of them spots at schools dying to move up the ladder.
And Sandusky’s name never, ever came up. Not once.
Everyone knew. Nobody talked.

Now, the person who reported it was the kid's father. Now, is it possible that the dad is trying to get his ex in trouble.
My brotr in law had a charge against him, when his ex-girlfriend's ex decided to try to get his son to live with him. BIL was innocent, but it screwed up his life - sex crimes is guilty until proven innocent.
That Bible verse means if the son commits the sins the father committed. We are not punished for sins others including parents commit.
I wish they wouldn't print the names of the accused in cases like this.
