A Winnipeg centre that welcomes and houses newcomers is putting out a public call for help after getting another surge of asylum-seekers over the weekend.
Welcome Place, a temporary home for newcomers in Winnipeg, is full and has no more rooms for refugee claimants who may still be coming to the city Sunday.
"That's a big concern," said Rita Chahal, the executive director of the Manitoba Interfaith Immigration Council.
At least 21 asylum-seekers were caught by RCMP walking into Manitoba during the wee hours Saturday morning. Among them was a family with a baby and toddler, Chahal said.

So, if Canada decides to build a wall, will we have to pay for it?
I had watched a discussion panel on CBC Canada's massive television service. The talking heads piously toed the politically correct line, except for one woman. She tries to be a responsible journalist. She said "it may be a matter of logistics". She was right. Here with a definition of logistics.
The detailed coordination of a complex operation involving many people, facilities, or supplies.
Those who trumpet diversity and general admittance to Canada do not have a clue as to the above definition. They first get in on the welcome committee and the photo -ops. They then depart to their comfortable, ordered way of life. They then leave the real work to some harassed authority to try to figure out accommodation, medical treatment, funding and transportation. Any complaints about this are met with smears of xenophobia etc.
So it goes.

Yhe original post said "pay attention to the mix from 1970 on." He was right. That's when it all started going down hill.
But....but....Canada issued a statement that immigrants/refugees of any religious denomination were welcome - now they’re trying to say they are overwhelmed by a relative few?

I’ll kick in a C note for bus fare. Let’s start a movement like the one to pay airfare for ‘immigrants’ to stay at J K Rowlings’ mansion.
